When you own a laser printer, you have to accept certain ownership costs. The biggest one of these is usually the expense of replacing the toner cartridges. While some do have a fairly high yield, none of them will last forever. Generally it is wise to make sure you have a spare on hand, for just such an occasion. Remanufactured cartridges are different from recycled or refilled cartridges, commonly referred to as, drill & fill. Drill & fill operations merely top off empty cartridges, but do not check critical components such as drums, gears and wipers. A remanufactured cartridges on the other hand, are completely disassembled, worn out parts are discarded and then remanufactured like a new unit.
