DCS grills are built to withstand time and the weather. They are built to provide superior cooking. The grill grates and burners are stainless steel. There is a good selection of traditional grills. One is known as the BGB30-BQAR. This unit is a 30 inch standalone grill. The rotisserie motor has a fifty-watt halogen light that is incorporated into the unit. This makes night grilling no problem. The rods and forks of the rotisserie motor are stainless steel. In addition, it will cook and turn up to fifty pounds of meat. The warming rack is also stainless steel. The grilling area is 575 square inches. A nine-volt battery powers the ignition. This unit has two 25,000 BTU burners and one 14,000 BTU infrared burner.
The rear burner features infrared heat. This cooks food at very high temperatures. It is supposed to seal in meat juices and deliver better flavor. A big advantage of this unit is the ability to cook two ways. You will cook with infrared heat. You will also cook with conventional heat. Many people do not like infrared because you cannot cook at low temperatures. You have the advantage of both ways of cooking. This gives you greater possibilities with your cooking options.
There are many options to this unit. You can get a stainless steel grill cart. Side burners are also available. You can also buy a griddle plate and chopping boards. A vinyl cover is also an accessory. The price without accessories is a little under $3000.00.
For an additional $1500, you can step up to a 36 inch grill. It has all of the features of the 30 inch, it is just bigger. It also has more cooking power.
In 2007, DCS comes up with the Liberty collection to lend a sense of community to cooking. The traditional hood is eliminated. People are more likely to gather behind the grill and cooking, with traditional cooking methods. The Liberty Collection is open and modular. In that way, people may be more apt to gather around the cooking area.
You can create your own cooking island. You have the option of three separate cooking modules.
This collection comes in three different configurations. First is the Liberty All Grill module. It has two separate 25,000 BTU burners. It has a grease management system. You also get a sear setting. This is supposed to deliver a perfect sear for your cooking.
The Griddle and Double Side-Burner module, features two 17,000 BTU burners. It also has a 12,000 BTU stainless steel griddle. The side burners let you have a very low flame or a very hot flame. This is good for delicate dishes as well as boiling.
The sink and Double Side-Burner module has the two 17,000 BTU burners. It also features a built in sink for convenience. This sink can be hard plumbed or you can hook it to your garden hose.
You can buy some of the Liberty units as a head for a built in grill. They also come in standalone units. Prices start around $1500 for the head units. They start around $2800 for the standalone units.
DCS grills are professionally made units. They should last you a very long time. Serious cooks will appreciate all of the features.
